A sold out Sokol Auditorium, a sea of Seether tour shirts in the crowd, plenty of fog, stage lights and great rock music is what transpired Saturday when Seether brought their Poison to the Parish tour through Omaha, NE.  Before the lights even dimmed for the opening band, the lines to the merch tables wound endlessly into the masses, a sign fans were waiting for this night and knew they had to go home with a souvenir.  Keleido and Letters From the Fire opened the night with a very receptive crowd.

Keleido exploded on the stage with the energetic show that gained them notoriety back home in Detroit. They have toured in support of many popular bands Pop Evil, Twenty One Pilots, Evanescence, The Offspring to name a few and hit several of the top festivals including Van’s Warped Tour and the Rockstar Uproar Festival.  Christina Chriss (vocals) mentioned on stage that the last time they were through the area, they were opening for a fellow hometown band Foo Fighters, with a definite approval received from the audience.  Joey Fava (drums), Ronnie Rosolino (rhythm guitar), Cody Morales (bass) and Zach Bolling (lead guitar) round out the members of Kaleido, on tour supporting their debut full-length album Experience, just released a few weeks prior.  They certainly put on a stellar performance, a great start to the night, setting a mood of excitement.

Letters From the Fire hit the stage with a flurry of energy, showing us just how passionate they are about their music. Founding member Mike Keller (guitars) along with Cameron Stucky (guitar), Clayton Wages (bass), Brian Sumwalt (drums) and Alexa Kabzie (vocals) brought it, putting on a highly intense performance.  Alexa, with her fearless vocals, connected with the crowd as she belted out the tunes.  The band, originally from San Francisco, is completing two legs of this tour with dates in between with Black Stone Cherry late May to the middle of June.  They are supporting their latest release Worth The Pain that hit the streets last September, a follow up to Letters From The Fire released in 2014.

Seether commanded the stage opening with their hit Gasoline which started the crowd off in a sing along right away.  Through the night, the crowd’s singing boomed through the packed house, often times overshadowing the music through the PA.  A truly devoted audience showing their full support of the band.   Shaun Morgan (vocals/guitar), Dale Stewart (bass/vocals) and John Humphrey (drums) along with Clint Lowery of Sevendust on guitar and backup vocals, were in the zone with a very solid performance.  The back-lit only stage emphasized a more subdued and moody presence throughout the show, with true emotion pouring through each song.  The night ended with Remedy, a big hit with the crowd.

Saturday night’s performance marks a month into the Poison The Parish tour, supporting the band’s latest release in May by the same name, their seventh studio album and the first produced entirely by Morgan.   The guys will crisscross North America and end up with the final show on the schedule in Houston, in the later part of August.
