Kings of Thrash Tear Up Phoenix

What do you get when you add David Ellefson, Jeff Young, Chaz Leon, Fred Aching and Chris Poland on one stage spewing heavy riffs and double beats with raised fists of the crowd egging them on for more? A live show by The Kings of Thrash is what you have. This was the second night of their string of debut shows in October, with a show the night before in San Diego, then heading off to Vegas and The Whisky in Hollywood after the Phoenix show.

The full house at the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix, AZ was pumped as the band performed “The Mega Years” featuring the albums ‘Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good’ and ‘So Far, So Good… So What’ in their entirety, with a mosh pit breaking out a few times, the metal sign thrown continuously as the strobes lit up the room on beat.

GRAMMY® Award winning bassist David Ellefson and guitarist Jeff Young, reunited to showcase songs from these two albums, staying true to the Thrash genre that was defined in the 80s and showcasing songs that have not been performed live in several decades. Joining them on stage, singer/guitarist Chaz Leon who did a phenomenal job belting out all songs. Fred Aching on drums put on an energetic performance including a short break for a drum solo. Chris Poland (Megadeth 1984-1987, plus work on Peace Sells), joined on stage for several songs.
