Haven’t heard of this up and coming band yet? You will. Doll Skin is an all female rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. Members Meghan Herring (drums/vocals), Sydney Dolezal (lead vocals/guitar), Nicole Rich (bass), and Alex Snowden (guitar) have been together since 2013. Their sound is a blend of punk, metal, alternative & pop and have been compared to bands like The Donnas and The Runaways.
How do you grab the attention of Dave Ellefson (bassist of Megadeth)? You win first place in a battle of the bands that Ellefson was judging. A year later, Ellefson approached the band a year later after following their local activity with an offer to manage and produce their music.
In 2015, Doll Skin released their debut EP, In Your Face via EMP Label Group and distributed by Megaforce Records (a division of Sony Music Entertainment/RED Distribution) in North America. The record was produced by David Ellefson. In 2017 Doll Skin released their sophomore album Manic Pixie Dream Girl and joined the Vans Warped Tour. They are currently headlining club dates around the country and supporting One-Eyed Doll for the Something Wicked tour starting September 27th.
