MACHINE HEAD RELEASE NEW SONG “VOLATILE”

San Francisco Bay Area metal titans MACHINE HEAD will release their new album Catharsis tomorrow, January 26, via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

Today, the band released the official lyric video for the opening track “Volatile.” Watch it here.

The pounding track, featuring sociocritical lyrics, is dedicated to Heather D. Heyer, who lost her life during a protest against neo-nazism and white supremacy in Charlottesville, VA in August 2017.

Catharsis is available for pre-order here.

The first leg of dates for Machine Head’s world tour in support of Catharsis kicks off tonight, January 25, in Phoenix. Confirmed dates are below. Tour dates, tickets, and VIP packages are available here.

ICYMI:
Machine Head previously shared the video for “Kaleidoscope.”

The band also dropped the track “Bastards.” The song was written the day after the most recent presidential election and was inspired by a conversation frontman Robb Flynn had with his sons. Revolver world-premiered an exclusive “poetry slam” version of the song, where Flynn delivers the powerful lyrics in haunting, spoken word fashion. Watch the poetry slam version of “Bastards” here.

Check out the crushing yet cinematic new video for the title track, along with a behind-the-scenes, “making of” feature from the “Catharsis” video shoot, which takes fans inside the creative process.

Watch the live version of “Now We Die,” from from the Digipak edition of Catharsis.

Listen to the album track “Beyond the Pale.”

The digipak version of Catharsis features a full, 21-song live concert filmed at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco in 2015. Watch the punishing live video for “Ten Ton Hammer,” a set list staple that lives on 1997’s classic The More Things Change… album and culled from the that edition, here.
