Saxon to unleash four double LP gold vinyl boxset
British metal titans Saxon will unleash a new deluxe vinyl box set this coming autumn.
Releasing on Friday 28th October, The Vinyl Hoard collates four of the band’s most thunderous live recordings pressed onto a rather fetching 180-gram gold vinyl for the very first time.
Each of the four double LP sets is in a specially designed gatefold sleeve with a slipcase box adorned with artwork by long-time collaborator Paul R. Gregory who has been creating artwork for the band since 1984’s ‘Crusader’.
Alongside the standard edition, Amazon will be releasing an ultra limited edition version of just 500 copies complete with a print of the cover signed by Biff Byford.
Biff said: “This is not going to be around again and with exclusive art work too… Bring it on – I think we’ll play some of these tracks on tour in the autumn.”
Each double LP has been redubbed after the tour they come from. They were previously released as ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ II and III CDs and the ‘To Hell and Back Again’ DVD.
