Thirty Seconds to Mars Tease 2017 Album Release

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Thirty Seconds to Mars as far as music goes, until the new trailer surfaced suggesting that a new Thirty Seconds to Mars album is in the works.

The clip opens in a remote locale, sound tracked with Middle Eastern chanting and an electronic-driven beat. Meanwhile, the visual suggest that the band has decamped to a desert location to work on their music. You see the guys enjoying their surroundings rock climbing, but also getting to work jamming out material. As the video ends, you see Jared Leto approaching a microphone about to sing when it fades to black. The final image is a vinyl record partially buried in the desert sand before the lettering reveals, “Thirty Seconds to Mars / Interscope: 2017.”

When Thirty Seconds to Mars return, they’ll be recording for a new label. The band signed with Interscope after a well-documented legal battle with EMI and Virgin. Following the release of their fourth album, Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, the band completed an extensive touring run and then worked out their next label deal.

While the band has mostly been out of action over the last couple of years, they have founded their Camp Mars destination event for fans.
