Blondie have joined BEE Connected – New Album – Tour

The icons of new wave, Blondie have joined BEE Connected, a public campaign to save the country’s declining bee population.  The 11th new album from the band, ‘Pollinator’ was released May of this year and so far we’ve seen 3 singles released.  Fun, Long Time and Too Much are out with videos.  Catch the video for Long Time here.

Guest stars on the album are heard on these tunes

  • “Doom or Destiny” features background vocals by Joan Jett.
  • “When I Gave Up on You” features background vocals by The Gregory Brothers.
  • “Love Level” features background vocals by John Roberts and horns and drums from What Cheer? Brigade, a street band from Providence

BEE Connected is working alongside Pollinator Partnership, Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace.  When asked about this initiative, Debbie Harry said, “Basically, my motives for supporting pollinators is survival; survival of us all, survival of the human race…”
