BUSH add U.S. Headlining Dates to Tour
As they currently tour arenas in North America as special guests of Nickelback, multi-platinum rock band BUSH have announced a string of headlining shows and a European headline and festival tour. The shows overseas kick off August 10 at Germany’s Open Flair Festival and run through early September. The international dates will include the band’s much-anticipated return to the UK for a trio of shows beginning August 28th (Click here for US and international shows).
News of the tour follows a whirlwind of activity for BUSH, who recently tore through an electrifying set at Madison Square Garden in NYC and performed on “The View” (clip below) and Vh1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live.” In addition, lead singer Gavin Rossdale was featured on “Nightline” and the band has a new song (“Into The Blue”) on the “Avengers Assemble” soundtrack.
Fans looking to see the band on the U.S. run can win a chance to do so via a new contest called “60 Shows * 60 Days * 60 Pairs of Tickets,” a unique promotion in which Rossdale personally gives away a pair of tickets to nearly every date on the tour.
Here’s how it works: Each morning at 9am PST, Gavin will announce a particular date/city/show via his Twitter account, @gavinrossdale. Contest hopefuls must visit Bush60tix and re-tweet the message from the official contest using the hash tag #Bush60tix. Gavin will then pick a winner and tweet the name at 3PM PST that same day.
BUSH recently released “Baby Come Home,” the second single from their acclaimed album THE SEA OF MEMORIES. The song follows the album’s blockbuster lead single, “The Sound of Winter,” which made radio history as the first self-released track ever to hit No. 1 on the Alternative Radio Chart, where it stayed for six weeks.
